Where to catch Threefold at Cannes: Microsoft Beach Club, Retail Media Changemakers Experience, Criteo Yacht & more

We are just a few days away from our travels to France for the 2024 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, June 17-21!


As the global retail media expects, we at Threefold have been working in the retail media space in Europe since our inception in 2008, and for the past couple of years, with retailers in North America, too.


At Threefold, we’re all about global perspectives and opportunities that bring together both markets. In 2023, SMG launched Retail Media Summit UK, the first-ever event dedicated to retail media in the UK, that gives a cross-Atlantic view of the industry, carefully crafted to provide the tools needed to take retail media journey to the next level. It’s back this year and we’re incredibly excited to reveal our line of expert speakers very soon… in the meantime grab your ticket here!


Back to Cannes…


Because of this, Cannes Lions was top of our of must-attend events for 2024 as it brings together global thought leaders from the retail, CPG and media spaces, and we’re so excited to meet with our friends and partners from Europe and North America as we gather to chat about the future of retail media.


We’re particularly excited to share that Sean Crawford, Threefold’s Managing Director, will take the stage at the Microsoft Beach Club on Wednesday afternoon as part of a panel discussion about the future of omnichannel retail media. Sean will share his insights from over a decade at the Threefold agency network alongside a star-studded lineup that includes Paul Longo (Microsoft), Prateek Gupta (Omnicom Media Group UK), Alice Anson (Nectar360) and Marco Steinsieck (Sephora). The discussion will delve into the dynamic transformation of the retail media landscape and explore the modular nature of retail media and its integration across various channels, screens and experiences.


We’re also excited to attend the Retail Media Changemakers Experience with the Path to Purchase Institute, the IAB and Stratacache, where the IAB and P2PI will preview new research on in-store retail media derived from interviews with industry leaders across the retail media ecosystem and insights from the top Retail Media Networks and CPG brands. Our experience working with retailers in the UK tells us just how powerful retail media in-store can be for driving results on behalf of retailers, brands and consumers. We’re excited to see this research as the North American market begins to unlock the potential of the store.

Several activations with our friends at Crieto, including the Road Ahead for Europe (in partnership with the IAB), the Women in Commerce Experience and Where Retail Media Comes to Meet aboard the Criteo Yacht. We would also be lying if we said we weren’t looking forward to spending our days talking shop with our colleagues and enjoying the beautiful climate and scenery in Cannes! It’s our inaugural trip for this festival, and we can’t wait to make the most of it!
